In April 2011, I stepped on the scale and it said 230 lbs. I was mortified by how much I had let myself go. I was unhappy with my body and needed a change. I have never been to a Golds Gym before but I did purchase a pair of Golds Gym 5lb ankle weights from Walmart and used them to make the biggest change of my life. Without EVER stepping foot into a gym, watching a workout video, using Pilates or Zumba I lost 50 lbs! I live in my ankle weights. Anyone who knows me knows that I wear them everyday. I didnt use a strict diet, I watched my calorie intake, stayed active in my weights and cut out the bad stuff. I am a different person today, I wear smaller clothes, I wear sexier clothes and I have Golds Gym to thank for it. My friends and even strangers ask me all the time what my secret is and when I tell them about my weights they are in obvious disbelief. But nonetheless I tell anyone who asks what to buy and where I got them from.
Even thought I have lost all this weight I will still continue to wear my weights everyday and stay fit. I just wanted to share my story with others and Golds gym. I am having the time of my life in the body my husband loves :) Thank You Golds!

In January, at the age of 73, I felt my physical condition deteriorating rapidly. I set a goal to join Gold’s Gym and get serious about exercising. My Crearor gave me a body, but it was up to me to maintain it. It isn’t only about losing weight, but also to tone up and increase strength. So here I am, only seven months later, going on 74, and feeliling beter than ever so…

Thank you God, and thank you Gold’s

Over a year ago, I lost my job. Also, I was losing the battleof the bulge. Then, with the help of my wife, we decided enough was enough. First, we decided to diet. Then, it was suggested that we should work out to aid in the process. We could have chosen anywhere. Thankfully, Gold’s Gym was close. To date, as of October 2010, I have lost 141.8 pounds. I still have a ways to go. My wife has lost 98.2 pounds. Don’t be afraid to work out. It’s not just about bulking up. It’s about getting healthy. Finally, I decided to give back to Gold’s by joining as an employee. I want people to see that losing weight and getting healthy can be done. What is my motto? “Knock down that wall.”
